Acknowledgments

Articles in this collection are signed by the original authors, students who undertook the research on their objects in Prof. Cyrus Mulready's "Materials of History, Thought, and Art" course at SUNY New Paltz. In addition to these individual authors, the following people and institutions deserve special recognition for their significant contributions to the project:

Two students spent summers working extensively on this project through the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program at SUNY New Paltz: Sara Vala (2025) and Claire Dawkins (2019) contributed their own research articles and substantially edited, organized, fact checked, and updated the exhibit. Our sincere thanks to the undergraduate research office for making these grants possible.

The staff at Historic Huguenot Street who have over many years made this project possible through their patient collaborations and generosity: Josephine Bloodgood, Beth Patkus, Louise McGoldrick, Donna Dixon, Ashley Campone, Carrie Allmendinger, Rebecca Mackey, and Ashley Hurlbert.
