Princess Hotel, Hamilton, Bermuda, March 17, 1927

This 1927 menu (also printed in green ink) features an image of the "Erin Go Bragh" flag in the upper left corner. The depiction of a winged female figure harp surrounded by green clover is often used as a symbol of Irish nationalism (the phrase translates to "Ireland forever"). This luncheon menu features broiled spring chicken, but also includes an option of cold corned beef. Not feeling so Irish? Try the Scotch broth with barley or Indian meal mush. Feel like something green for dessert? Try the creme de menthe punch. Top it all off with some English breakfast tea.
