The Breed's Connection: Joseph Warren & Byron Parker
General Joseph Warren was killed by a British officer atop Breed's Hill at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Almost 100 years later, one of Hudson's most prominent businessmen, Byron Parker, began his plumbing business at 436 Warren St. Parker's mother was a member of the Breed family who owned the land where the Battle of Bunker Hill was fought.

In 1923, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, caretaker of the Bunker Hill Monument, installed this plaque on the exterior of the Bunker Kill Lodge adjacent to the Monument. National Park Service.
