In the Name of God Amen the third Day of April Annoq [sic] Domini [Our Lord] one thousand seven hundred and fifty I Samuel Bevier of the town of the New Paltz in the County of Ulster and Province of NewYork being in good Health of Body and of a sound and perfect Memory and understanding (Blessed be the Name of the Lord) calling to mind that it is ordained for all Flesh once to Dye and being desirous to settle Things in order do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following(that is to say) ffirst [sic] and principally I committ [sic] my immortal Soul in the Protection of God Almighty hoping and [???ting] through the [met?i?o?ow] Death and Passion of my Soul Saviour [sic] and Redeemer Jesus Christ to recieve full Pardon and Remission of all my Sins and my Body to the Earth and a Christian like and desent [sic] Bare all as to my Executors shall seem meet and concerning such temporal Estate as is hath pleased God to bless me with (for at eve my Deserts) I give and
