Description
Paper over wood sticks: Name of male dance partners (all local gentleman) and dances performed (“Lanciers”, “Two-Step” and “Waltz”) handwritten down the length of each stick along with various dates during 1900 & 1901 (when dances took place). Handwritten inscribed along the top edge of fan reads: “Dances held at Village Hall, given by the social club of New Paltz”. This fan was presumably carried by a woman and used as a sort of “dance card”.
